Snow-Covered Kyoto: A Stunning Walk from Gion to Kiyomizudera

On February 8, 2025, Kyoto experienced a rare heavy snowfall, transforming its historic streets into a breathtaking winter wonderland. This video captures an early morning walk through the city, showcasing its most iconic locations blanketed in snow. The journey begins in Gion, passing by Kenninji Temple, Gion Hanamikoji, Shijo Street, Kiridoshi Alley, and the picturesque Tatsumi Bridge. Continuing along Shirakawa Street, Nawate Street, and Shinbashi Street, the video takes viewers deeper into Gion Higashi.

The path then leads to Chion-in Temple and its grand Sanmon Gate, followed by a peaceful stroll through Maruyama Park. The famous Yasaka Shrine, Shimokawara Street, Yasaka Koshindo, and the iconic Yasaka Pagoda are also featured. The walk proceeds through the historic Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka slopes before reaching Kiyomizuzaka and ending at the magnificent Kiyomizudera Temple.
