All-You-Can-Eat Hokkaido Fair Buffet at Yokohama Bay Sheraton: Snow Crab, Sushi, Wagyu Steak & More

By Aya’s Food Adventures

Located just steps from Yokohama Station’s West Exit, the Compass restaurant at the luxury Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers has unveiled its special Hokkaido Fair dinner buffet, offering a wide range of gourmet delights made with top-quality ingredients from Hokkaido. Guests can indulge in all-you-can-eat snow crab, generous bowls of rice topped with salmon roe (ikura), a variety of sushi such as botan shrimp, yellowtail, tuna, and kombu-shime cod, as well as Hakodate Onuma Wagyu beef steak. The fair also features regional favorites like octopus zangi, ikameshi (stuffed squid rice), and Hokkaido miso ramen.

The Compass buffet re-opened on March 20, 2025, and now features a hybrid service style: diners order hot dishes via QR code from their tables while also helping themselves to unlimited salads, desserts, and drinks from the expansive buffet. The kitchen boasts a live section where chefs prepare roast beef, scallops with butter, and tempura before your eyes, enhancing the fresh and luxurious dining atmosphere. The setup is ideal for sampling many dishes in reasonable portions, making it perfect for families, groups, or solo diners seeking variety and comfort.

Buffet pricing is straightforward: weekday lunch starts at ¥6,000 for adults (with discounts for seniors and children), while dinner options, available for an unlimited time on weekdays, are ¥9,000 per adult. All prices include tax and service charge, and the fair is suitable for all ages.

A highlight of the dessert selection is the shimaenaga sweets, inspired by the adorable northern long-tailed tit native to Hokkaido, alongside Hokkaido ranch pudding, shimaenaga cheesecake, and gelato. The restaurant’s open, relaxed setting as part of a well-known international hotel ensures a comfortable and memorable dining experience with premium service.

The Yokohama Bay Sheraton is a destination in itself for gourmet lovers and travelers looking for a refined buffet experience with a focus on Hokkaido’s bountiful seafood, prime meats, and signature sweets. Accessible directly from Yokohama Station, it’s an ideal spot for a sumptuous meal during a trip to Kanagawa Prefecture.
